Kym Sims (born 23 August 1966) is an American singer, whose biggest success came outside her home market. Sims began her career as an advertising jingle singer before breaking through into the dance music market. Career, Working with four time Grammy Award-nominated record producer Steve Hurley, her dance anthem, "Too Blind to See It", spent 12 weeks on the UK Singles Chart over the festive period of 1991/1992. Another song that Sims is well known for is her 1992 hit single "Take My Advice" which reached number 13 in the UK. It was also a club hit. The same year she had a more modest hit with, "A Little Bit More". An album was released entitled Too Blind To See It. It peaked at number 39 in the UK Albums Chart. The album was produced by Hurley, with co-production credits shared with E-Smoove and 4 time Grammy Award winner Maurice Joshua. In 1995 she released "I Must Be Free". In 1996, she released another single "We Gotta Love", which was the last single of hers to be released physically on CD or vinyl. In 2000 she released another single through MP3.com called "Just Can't Get Enough". Currently, 2009 finds Sims working on new material for an upcoming CD as well as planning tour dates. Songwriting, Sims also co-wrote one of the CeCe Peniston's biggest hits, "Keep On Walkin'" (No.1 in US Dance, No.20 in Hot 100), produced by Hurley. In the U.S.. In addition Sims wrote the R&B hit "Good Morning" performed by Tene Williams (recording artist Howard Hewitt's niece) and produced by Maurice Joshua. Other songs written by Sims include "Crazy" and "Just Can't Get Enough" to name a few. UK chart history, "Too Blind To See It" reached #5, "Take My Advice" #13, "A Little Bit More" #30 and "We Gotta Love" #58. U.S. chart history, In the U.S., "Too Blind to See it" reached number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "Take My Advice" reached #86 on the same chart. On the Billboard Hot Dance Music Chart "Too Blind To See It" remained at #1 for 8 consecutive weeks. "Too Blind To See It" reached #1 on 4 other charts, S.I.N. Top 50, DMR Top 50 Club, Mix Mag Sales Chart and S.I.N. Radio Show Top 30. On the Hot Dance Club Play chart, "Too Blind to See It" and "Take My Advice" both peaked at #5, followed by her 1995 release "I Must Be Free" which reached #6, and a year later "We Gotta Love" peaked at #9. "I Must Be Free" was also featured on Dance Mix USA Volume 3. While a few of her songs have been featured on various dance compilation albums, this particular collection was significant because it peaked at #71 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, which makes it the only album featuring a Sims solo recording to register on that chart. Remixes, In addition to Hurley, the other remixers who contributed mixes to the commercial single releases of "Too Blind To See It" and "Take My Advice" were E-Smoove, and Maurice Joshua. The commercial single for "A Little Bit More" featured remixes by Hurley and Joey Negro. "I Must Be Free" was remixed by DJ Pierre and Love to Infinity. "We Gotta Love" was released with remixes by David Morales, as well as Band of Gypsies. Sampling, German DJ/artist Marusha used samples from "Take My Advice" in her track "Go Ahead".
