Laura Warshauer is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from northern New Jersey. Currently signed by Island Records, her self-titled debut album is scheduled for release on September 23, 2008. Warshauer's sound could be described as a blend of pop, rock n’ roll and folk. She was personally signed by Island Records CEO LA Reid in 2007.[citation needed]

Laura began playing guitar at age 12 and has studied with Carlos Alomar (David Bowie's guitarist) and voice with guru Don Lawrence whose clients included Bono, Mick Jagger, and Christina Aguilera.

She released an independent album in 2003. A set of studio tracks produced by Rich Keller were promotionally distributed via FreeIndie.com in August 2006. Her self-titled major-label debut, an eponymous EP, was released on September 23, 2008.

Laura received the first ever Buddy Holly Singer/Songwriter of the Year Award from the Songwriter's Hall Of Fame and Songmasters. She began working with Scott Ross and Paul Fishkin, 2 Execs that collectively managed legendary artists including Stevie Nicks, POE, and Natalie Cole. Laura recently moved to Los Angeles and is currently working on her indie debut releasing in April of 2011.
